A framed oil on board entitled 'Still life with lemons' by James Stroudley (British 1906-1985). Height 28" x Width 24" (incl frame). Stroudley studied at Clapham School of Art (1923-7)then the Royal College of Art (1927-1930). While travelling in Europe, he acquired influences from the Renaissance Italian but also early 20 cent. French painters - the latter being notable in this picture. £2600.
